This thatched cottage was once owned by Izaak Walton, the celebrated author of the Compleat Angler. The cottage has witnessed over three hundred years of rural life.
STAFFORD CASTLE
First built by William the Conqueror to subdue the rebellious population, the Castle has dominated the Stafford skyline for over 900 years.

Join us at the tranquil Izaak Walton’s Cottage to embroider a motif on a napkin, followed by an afternoon tea.
Exhibition – D-Day – The Liberation of Europe – Stafford’s Role

Venue: Ancient High House
An exhibition looking at the stories of Staffordian’s experiences on D-Day told through their own words. The cabinets include rare images, medals and personal artefacts relating to the liberation of Europe.
