Dress up your door this Autumn with a stunning willow wreath, created by you!

At our Autumn Wreath Workshop at Stafford Castle, you will weave your own beautiful willow garland by making a simple hoop and then choose from our collection of gorgeous dried flowers and grasses, ribbon and hessian to decorate it. This workshop is suitable for beginners and is a perfect introduction to willow weaving.

Join us for two fun, informal workshops to learn the basics of hand knitting and create your own cosy scarf for winter.

Under the guidance of our knitting expert you will learn the skills necessary to create your own hand-knitted, hand-fringed scarf across two workshops. The first session will start you on your way. You can continue at your leisure as well as in the second session where you will learn the necessary skills to complete your project.

This workshop includes pattern, yarn, knitting needles, cloth workbag and refreshments. These workshops are ideal for beginners with little or no experience or those who have knitted in the past and want to refresh their craft.

Choose from four stunning colours: Silver; Scarlet; Teal; Purple. Please see the right hand side of the image at the top of the page for colour samples. (Colour must be specified upon booking and cannot be changed later.)

Would you like to learn how to make your own aromatherapy bath bombs tailored to you?

On this workshop you will learn about the therapeutic and medicinal properties of essential oils and how to combine these oils create your very own therapeutic bath bombs.

The workshop includes making and decorating your own gift box and is being lead by a trained aromatherapist.

This workshop will incorporate a variety of “slow stitching” techniques, such as fabric applique, embroidery and embellishing to create an autumnal themed design, that can then be made into a scatter cushion if attendees wish, a tutorial will be given to create the cushion. There will be a variety of designs for attendees to follow or they can create their own design. All materials will be provided, along with refreshments during both sessions.

It is recommended you have attended at least one of the beginners or adult embroidery workshops or have some past embroidery experience before booking on to this session.

This workshop will involve embroidering a motif on to a napkin. There is a choice of three designs and will also include a napkin folding tutorial. The workshop will be followed by an afternoon tea consisting of sandwiches, cakes and hot drinks.

Have a go at two different kits to make your buzzy bee friends to take home with you.

This is a drop in event on the day – so come along whenever you like within the time slot!

Drop in times are from 11am to 3.15pm. The workshop is located in the Stafford Castle Visitor Centre.

Join us on a sewing and embroidery workshop, set over three sessions. During this time you will create your own embroidered handbag using traditional hand sewing techniques. Materials, refreshments and professional guidance will be provided. The three colours to choose from can be seen in the above image: white, purple or black.

All sessions must be attended in order to finish your project. Please book your place and confirm your colour choice by 9th March as no bookings can be taken beyond this date. Payments must be made in full by 13th April.
